The Astana Opera Ballet Company presented Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker staged by Yuri Grigorovich in Dubai. The tour of the capital theater in the UAE, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, completes the foreign tours this year.
On the eve of the tour, Yuri Nikolaevich Grigorovich's assistants Ruslan Pronin and Oksana Tsvetnitskaya worked on the production together with the Astana Opera company, carefully preserving the choreography in its pristine beauty. The performance was accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the theater under the direction of Maestro Giuseppe Acquaviva.
It should be noted that after the great success of the performance last year, the Dubai Theater once again invited the Kazakh troupe, led by its artistic director, world ballet star Altynai Asylmuratova.
"We are glad that the Astana Opera is performing at the Dubai Opera again with the ballet The Nutcracker. Last year was a great success, and considering the brilliant performance of the troupe, we invited them again. We are happy to see this amazing production and talented artists," said Paolo Petrocelli, Director of the Dubai Opera.
"An amazing performance. I was just in awe of the greatness of this performance. I flew from Mexico City to Dubai and was looking forward to The Nutcracker, and I am very, very happy to see all the costumes, decorations and bright colors in this amazing opera house, so it was a great opportunity to see the performance of the highest level of the entire troupe," said Arturo Perez Rivera.
Let's remind that the first performance with great success took place on December 19th. There are three more days of touring ahead on December 20, 21 and 22, when the leading soloists will take the audience into the magical world of a fairy tale. It is important to note that the troupe will present a total of 6 performances, each of which is expected to be sold out. During all the days of performances, the audience will be able to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of miracles. Individual performances created by the choreographer evoke strong emotions in both adults and children: a dance of snowflakes reflecting the silent winter nature. Classical choreography, symbolism, fabulous images and artistic design by Simon Virsaladze make this ballet truly unforgettable.
