The exhibition "Cultural Heritage of the Great Steppe", organized by the Museum of the History of Almaty with the support of the Akimat of Almaty and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Serbia, opened in the Palace of Princess Lubica, which is part of the Museum of the City of Belgrade.
The exhibition features more than 220 exhibits from the funds of the Association of Museums of Almaty. The exhibition introduces visitors to the history and culture of the people of the Great Steppe, including traditions, way of life and philosophy. Residents and tourists of Serbia show great interest in the exhibition, admiring the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people.
The opening of this exhibition was attended by Tamara Vucic, wife of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Dejan Savic, Adviser to the President of Serbia on Cultural Issues, representatives of the Serbian political establishment, the diplomatic corps, academic and scientific circles, heads of public organizations, cultural figures and the media.
In his speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Serbia, Madi Atamkulov, thanked the Museum of the History of Almaty for creating a unique exhibition and a chance to show the rich heritage of the Great Steppe. He noted that this is the first exhibition here in the Balkans, representing the history and culture of the people of the Great Steppe.
The exhibition will run until January 12th.
It is worth noting that earlier, as part of the development of international cultural cooperation, the Almaty City Museum Association, with the support of the Almaty Mayor's Office, held exhibitions in Italy, Austria, Turkey, South Korea, Prague, Hungary, and the Association's staff were trained at the National Monument Center of France and the Scientific Center of Singapore.
