Nurlan Urankhaev visited the KSU "Center for Support of children in need of special social services" in the village of Novaya Shulba, Borodulikhinsky district. During the visit, the head of the region got acquainted with the current state of the institution, listened to suggestions from staff to improve the quality and effectiveness of the services provided, and also talked with the students.
The institution is equipped with offices of a teacher-psychologist, rooms for club work, a choreography room, an assembly hall, a medical center, a gym, as well as a summer recreation area "Orman ziegi". For the comprehensive development of pupils, the center has organized more than 20 creative and sports clubs and sections that help children discover their talents and adapt socially. Sports and playgrounds have also been created on the territory of the center.
The head of the region met with the members of the staff and exchanged opinions on the work of the team and improving the quality of life and education of the pupils. The Mayor noted the need to pay special attention to quality rather than quantity, and instructed to open clubs that will teach children the skills necessary for their future in accordance with their interests. The head of the Department of Education was instructed to provide methodological assistance to the center, establish an exchange of experience between the teams, and the district governor was instructed to provide conditions for children to travel to the city.
"We all raise children. Children from this center require special care. We must create all the conditions for them to feel free in society. Our common task is to prepare them for the future, starting from today," the mayor said.
When visiting the center in the past, the akim of the region presented equipment for the boxing sports section. This year, he presented the children of the orphanage with sets of cross-country skis.
To ensure comfortable and safe living conditions for children, video surveillance cameras have been installed, a boiler room, laundry, garage, warehouses have been equipped, lighting has been provided, and the entire territory of the center is fenced.
48 students live in the center today, and 26 teachers provide the educational process. At the same time, the design capacity of the institution allows to receive up to 75 children. Comprehensive support is provided here for children from 3 to 18 years old who need special social services, including children with minor disabilities in physical and mental development.
