In honor of the professional holiday of power engineers, a solemn event was held at the Ministry of Energy with the participation of Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev. The results of the industry's work were summed up at the event, and the best specialists who made a significant contribution to the development of the energy sector were awarded.
During his speech, the Minister noted that over the years of independence, a number of major projects in the field of electric power industry have been implemented, which has significantly increased the volume of electricity generation from 83 to 112 billion kilowatt-hours.
"On July 8, 2024, the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Thermal Energy". For the first time, the document regulates in the form of an independent law the social relations arising in the process of production, transmission, sale and consumption of thermal energy for the high—quality functioning and development of heat supply systems," the Minister said.
Special attention was paid to the introduction of a Single Buyer of electric Energy from July 1, 2024. This innovation has significantly improved the balancing of electricity production and consumption, as well as reduced tariffs for imported energy during periods of shortage.
During the ceremony, the Minister presented awards and letters of thanks to the best employees of the industry for their hard work and professionalism.
"Your work is of crucial importance for the country, and thanks to your work, Kazakhstan's energy sector continues to develop and ensure stability in the economy. We are proud of your achievements and express our gratitude for your invaluable contribution to the development of our energy industry," the Minister said.
At the end of the event, the Minister congratulated all industry workers on their professional holiday, wishing them health, well-being and success in the further development of the energy sector in Kazakhstan.
