Akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev awarded the winners of the "Model Village" competition, organized as part of the republican environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan".
To date, the campaign has cleared the territory of 60 historical and cultural monuments, 143 parks and squares, 829 km of canals and irrigation ditches, 137.5 thousand yards and 4.8 thousand km of urban and rural streets. More than 30 thousand tons of garbage were removed. About 60 thousand seedlings have been planted. 1,104 units of equipment were involved in the clean-up.
- In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the republican environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" continues in the region. Zhambyl residents actively participate in clean-up activities. We must fully support the environmental movement, we don't need to participate for the sake of showing off just to take a photo. There are many who approach this campaign with responsibility. These are our residents who should be an example for others. The campaign shows how important it is to take care of the cleanliness of our common home. Therefore, it is important for us to unite in this matter," said Erbol Karashukeev.
According to the results of the "Model Village" competition, 8 settlements were recognized as the best. Cash certificates were awarded to rural akims (I place - 50 million tenge, II place - 25 million tenge, III place - 10 million tenge).
The third place was shared by the villages of Karakemer (Kordai), Koktal (Talas), Igilik (Sarysu), Aspara (Merke), and Grodekovo (Zhambyl).
The second place was taken by the villages of Kairat (Zhualy) and Akyrtobe (Ryskulova village).
The village of Kenes in the Bayzak district has become an exemplary one.
It is worth noting that the funds will be used for the construction of social facilities, as well as for the ongoing renovation of buildings in villages.
