The Ministry of Internal Affairs has taken an important step in the fight against drugs. For the first time, a Council for the Prevention of Drug Offenses has been established under the department.
It is aimed at preventing drug addiction and strengthening the fight against illegal drug trafficking with the participation of representatives of civil society, improving public education in this area, and increasing legal literacy.
- Today's question is very important. Our youth follow your example. That is why we are considering such a proposal and gathering you for an important event. We have gathered with the intention of working together to prevent drugs, - said the Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov.
The Council includes famous personalities, athletes and experts in this area. Although they represent different fields, everyone has one goal and interest - the fight against drugs, one of the five modern diseases.
- The fact that such a council is being established under the Ministry of Internal Affairs is a big step. That is, this is not the work of just one ministry, it is a disease that society is fighting, a problem that every parent worries about, and it also depends on the vigilance of every teacher who is able to analyze and analyze. If you are worried about your child and his future, then any active member of society should not be absent from such an initiative, - said TV presenter Dana Nurzhigit.
During the event, special certificates were presented to the council members. In addition, the chairman of the council was elected by voting. He was the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bauyrzhan Alenov. The deputy chairmen of the council were also elected. They are Zhandos Aktayev, chairman of the "Future Without Drugs" fund, and Kuandyk Alzhanov, deputy chairman of the ministry's anti-drug committee.
The council will change public consciousness, inform the public about the harm of drugs, and take effective measures to prevent drug addiction among young people.
