A meeting of the primary party organization "Energy" of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held with the participation of Esenbek Serkebayev, executive secretary of the "Birlik" territorial branch of the Amanat party in Astana. The meeting broadly considered important tasks and strategic directions in the energy sector of the country, and special attention was paid to the initiatives of the Head of State in this area. An interview with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the "Ana tili" newspaper was discussed.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared this year the Year of Working Professions and instructed to pay special attention to working people. This initiative provides a great opportunity to raise the status of specialists working in important sectors of the country's economy, improve their social status, and also increase the level of professional training.
Workers in energy, construction, industry and other production sectors are the main pillars of the country's development. In this regard, improving the qualifications of workers, fair assessment of their work, and improving working conditions will be one of the main priorities. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to develop the country's energy sector, including the introduction of renewable energy sources, strengthening energy security, mastering new technologies, and training domestic specialists.
In particular, the issue of building a nuclear power plant (NPP) in the country was discussed, and its importance in ensuring energy independence was emphasized. According to experts, NPPs, as a sustainable and environmentally friendly source of energy, will allow strengthening the energy stability of Kazakhstan.
The main directions of joint work for 2025 were identified.
