In 2024, 107.9 thousand citizens, of whom about 52.4 thousand are unemployed, received certificates of completion of courses on the Skills Enbek professional training platform (hereinafter referred to as Skills Enbek). In total, 498.7 thousand Kazakhstanis have registered for Skills Enbek, of which 135 thousand – in 2024. At the same time, 410.9 thousand people have been trained over the entire period of the platform's operation.
Of the 52.4 thousand unemployed citizens who have completed training, about 16.2 thousand people are young people, mainly from Aktobe, Kyzylorda, Turkestan regions and Shymkent.
Since the launch, the authors have published 643 courses in various fields, of which 302 are free. The duration of the courses is from 1 to 72 hours.
The most popular courses are "Building a sales department in a hotel", "Pishu zhane tigu", "Salesman", "Introduction to social work" and "Cashier".
The platform is available in three languages and is a platform for creating a single showcase of online courses, where there are a number of integrations with other educational portals. Skills Enbek has created conditions for mass professional development of the unemployed, start-up entrepreneurs, social workers and individual support assistants for people with disabilities. In addition, when downloading the certificate, new functionality has been added that recommends vacancies for acquired skills with the transition to an Electronic Labor Exchange (Enbek.kz ).
In 2024, Skills Enbek has the opportunity to conduct testing using a proctoring system. At the moment, the functionality is used by doctors who are involved in proactive correspondence provision of public services for assigning a disability group and by social workers when studying at the provided courses. In the period from September to December, over 9 thousand users were trained in social worker courses. 6.1 thousand people have also registered for individual assistant courses, of which 5.7 thousand have successfully completed their studies and received certificates.
35.3 thousand people have completed training and received certificates on the basics of entrepreneurship within the framework of the Bastau Business project, while 39.8% of them are young people. Training in this course helps Kazakhstanis who are thinking about starting their own business to gain the necessary basic knowledge and skills.
As part of the Silver Age project, citizens over the age of 50 can take free courses in agriculture, finance, education, social services, marketing and tourism, and information technology. In 2024, more than 27 thousand project participants registered for Skills Enbek, of which 23.4 thousand people were trained and received certificates.
In addition, a "Social" tab has been created on Skills Enbek for socially vulnerable segments of the population, where it is possible to take free training in some paid courses in cooperation with the Qolqanat Foundation public foundation.
Taking into account the expansion of the functionality of Skills Enbek, a chatbot has been introduced using artificial intelligence and automation of the process, which generates recommendations for choosing courses at the user's request and quick search. In 2024, as part of the initiative of the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan, the Solidarity Fund for Kazakhstan in the Fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic, with financial support from the Asian Development Bank, expanded the list of free courses in Data Science, Python, Internet security, product and HR management.
In general, thanks to the development of online learning, citizens have the opportunity to learn new skills, improve their qualifications and use digital tools more effectively in everyday life, which contributes to productivity growth and innovation in the economy.

On the Platform, students independently choose the appropriate pace and language of instruction, a comfortable principle of presentation of the material, and can track their progress in the educational process.
At the end of the training, the student must pass the test with a threshold level of 70%. Upon successful completion of the course, a skill acquisition certificate is issued. A prerequisite for completing the training is the assessment of the course by the student.
The received certificate is automatically indicated in the resume created by the student when registering for Enbek.kz . When searching for employees, a potential employer will see the certificates received after successful training on the Platform.
Online courses are hosted on the Platform for authors and developers for free. Courses can be posted in the state and Russian languages, and must contain various information presentation formats: text, presentations, video and audio materials, infographics, and other types. The platform assumes the possibility of adapting the interface for students with special needs.
For course authors, a convenient lesson composition constructor is available, statistics and effectiveness of published courses are viewed, a diverse design of certificates is provided, and an online calculator is available for preliminary calculation of tuition fees.
