Support for large families is one of the priorities of the state's social policy. Since January 2025, there have been changes in tax legislation that will affect family income.
In particular, Article 347 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan stipulates important innovations for large families.
The tax deduction for a large family is applied in aggregate to both parents in the amount of no more than 282 MCI (in 2025 – 1,108,824 tenge), determined for a calendar year, in one of the following orders:
1) for one of the parents of a large family in 23 MCI (in 2025 – 90,436 tenge) for each month;
2) for each parent of a large family in 12 MCI (in 2025 – 47,184 tenge) for each month.
The condition for tax deduction is the presence of four or more minor children in the family on January 1 of the calendar year in which this measure is applied. Copies of the children's birth certificates must be provided for confirmation.
Documents for obtaining tax benefits are provided to the local tax authorities or to the HR department at the place of work – an application for a tax deduction.
This reduces the tax burden for large families.
