The capital's Mama PRO Foundation for Support and Development of Socially Vulnerable Women has helped hundreds of women raising special children to advance in business. A special forum was held in Astana with the participation of such determined mothers, the official website of the city administration reports.
The Foundation was established with the support of the Astana administration. The project is aimed at helping mothers with special children who have started their entrepreneurial journey but have encountered difficulties. The organization supported these women by offering not only short-term courses, but also in-depth training programs, as well as mentoring and coaching sessions for the further development of business projects.
The training lasted 12 months, and graduates who started their own business projects learned financial and marketing planning, ways to implement a business plan for their business, and also learned how to draw up a strategic plan for 3 years.
Over 100 women raising special children and already running their own businesses were trained during the project in Astana, Almaty and Shymkent. Entrepreneurs who faced the need to scale, delegate tasks, and optimize business processes were able to overcome the difficulties that arose during the training period and take their business to a new level.
According to the organizers of the forum, 143 courses have been held since 2018, and during this time more than 3,500 women have participated in various educational programs of this NGO and received training.
The foundation conducts sibling classes for children with special needs, to which their brothers and sisters are also invited.
“This forum was an important milestone in the completion of a large-scale project. Thanks to the support of the city administration, many women have found jobs and have been employed through the “Labor Mobility Center”. Among our employees, there are mothers who have completed their studies and stayed to work in our team, which makes us very happy,” said the founder of the foundation, Asiya Tikeeva.
One of the participants in the foundation’s educational projects is Leyla Bekhbudova. She knits toys for children.
“I get great pleasure from my work. "As a mother, the most important thing for me is that the toys are safe. I make them from cotton yarn, and I use holofiber to fill them. When I knit, I try to fasten them tightly right away, so that nothing falls out," says Leila Bekhbudova.
Training courses are also available to residents of other regions: the Mama PRO Foundation for Support and Development of Socially Vulnerable Women has a representative office not only in Astana, but also in Almaty, Shymkent, Kostanay and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
