Large-scale exercises of rescue services were held at the ski resort in the Glubokoe district of the East Kazakhstan region, where about 3,000 people rest throughout the year. Rescuers worked out algorithms for responding to various emergency situations.
The first stage of the exercise demonstrated the occurrence of a fire in a hotel room due to a short circuit. The employees promptly notified the "112" service about the incident and organized the evacuation of vacationers. The rescuers who arrived found the victims in the smoke zone and took them out into the fresh air. Then the Disaster Medicine Center brigade carried out resuscitation measures. EMERCOM psychologists provided support to the evacuated citizens. Firefighters extinguished the fire in a short time.
The second stage of the exercise was devoted to emergency rescue operations. During the fire extinguishing, the power supply was cut off. As a result, the cable car on which the man was standing stopped. Rescuers reached the victim with the help of mountaineering equipment, safely lowered him to the ground and handed him over to doctors.
The rescue operation during the avalanche was also worked out. Together with the servicemen of the second rescue battalion of the EMERCOM, specialists, using special equipment, extracted the victims from the snowdrifts. All stages of the exercise demonstrated the high level of training of the rescue services, their promptness and coordination in emergency situations.
“The exercise demonstrated the high level of readiness of our rescuers. "In emergency situations, it is important to act quickly, coordinated and professionally to minimize the consequences of an emergency and save as many lives as possible," noted Iskhar Savazov, deputy head of the regional emergency services.
