The Almaty Mayor BauyrzhanBaybek took part in the opening ceremony of the kindergarten and the hotel of the global brand.

The total area of the kindergarten, built under a State and Private Partnership on the territory of the Auezov district of the city,is 1.6 thousand sq. m. The Mayor stressed the importance and social significance of the event. This preschool institution, located in a densely populated area, will allow taking 180 children with the possibility of taking more in proximate future. Moreover, the opening of the institution allowed creating 45 jobs, 25 of them were teachers who teach in three languages - Kazakh, Russian, and English.

The monthly payment for the kindergarten will cost less than usual for half of the parents – this is thanks to the state program “Balapan”:part of the expenses for the child will be taken over by the state.

On the same day, the Mayor visited a 4-star hotel of the global brand “Shera Park Inn”of about 15 thousand square meters, with a capacity of 190 rooms.The object of hotel business is located on the territory of the Medeu district. The Mayor noted the urgency and importance of the event. The opening of the hotel helped create 80 permanent jobs. Launching new services, in particular hotel business, will enhance the competitiveness of existing enterprises, thereby, will improve the quality of service provided, which is especially important in anticipation of such major international event as the “Universiade– 2017”.

The construction and configuration of the above mentioned facilities were done using materials of mainly domestic enterprises.

Information: the share of small and medium-sized businesses has been increasingin the city. There are over 185 000 SMEs in Almaty, employing more than 580,000 people. Last year the volume of output of SMEs amounted to 4.2 trillion KZT, with growth of 21.1% compared to the same period in 2014.
