As at 1 April 2017 for businesses and organizations of the Republic in the result of accidents suffered 342 people, which is 14.8% lower compared to the same period last year (in 2016 - 401).

The number of fatal victims in the production amounted to 43 people, which is 8.6% lower than the same period last year (first quarter of 2016 – 47).

In General, up to 2016, decreased the number of accidents in the workplace.

In the past year as a result of accidents on production is affected 1 thousand 683 people, which is 2.4% lower compared to year 2015 (1 thousand 723 people).

The number of fatal victims on production was 248 people, which is 1.2% less than in 2015 (251 people).

The positive dynamics are achieved as a result of comprehensive measures taken by the Ministry of labor and social protection of population of Kazakhstan and employers in the field of safety and labor protection.

In order to improve safety conditions and labor protection in 2016, introduced a new Labor code aimed at creating a modern system of safety management and labor protection at the enterprises of the Republic.

Implemented new approaches for the implementation of the internal control over the safety and protection of labor through the creation of works councils, whose decisions are binding for the employer.

Currently, the enterprises of the Republic established 11 thousand 215 industrial security and labor protection.

Local Executive bodies are carried out of the visits to the preventive nature.

In addition, the Labor code provides for mechanisms aimed at encouraging employers, through voluntary Declaration of their activity.

Employers whose activities are found to comply with the requirements of the labor legislation, shall be awarded a certificate of trust for a period of three years, in respect of monitoring and other forms of control are not conducted.

Today the owners of the certificate of trust were 87 employers.
