Guardsman from Uralsk Reaches Semifinals of Muay Thai World Military Championship

From July 8 to 14, 2025, the 1st CISM World Military Muay Thai Championship is taking place in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. The prestigious international event has brought together 84 athletes from 11 countries: Thailand, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Poland, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Bahrain, and Belgium.

Kazakhstan is proudly represented by Private Ali Nasipkaliyev, a 2nd platoon specialist-controller of the rifle company from military unit 5517, stationed in Uralsk, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ National Guard.

Competing in the under-88 kg weight category, Private Nasipkaliyev demonstrated exceptional endurance, physical readiness, and fighting spirit. He confidently advanced through the qualifying bouts and reached the semifinals, earning a place among the tournament’s top fighters.

This achievement highlights the strength, discipline, and determination of Kazakhstan’s military athletes. Participation in the CISM Championship reinforces the high standards of military sports in Kazakhstan and strengthens the country’s reputation on the international stage.
