On November 5, 2025, the “Clean Thursday” environmental campaign continued in the Turan district of Shymkent. This event was organized to educate the city's residents in environmental culture, keep the environment clean, and preserve greenery. It was held in the courtyard of a multi-storey residential building on Senbilik Adyrbekov Street. More than 30 citizens participated in the event. They were provided with special equipment, and each participant did their part, cleaning and tidying up the yard and the surrounding area.

Participants cleaned the ditches, mowed the grass, swept the yard, and tidied up the general area. They also collected garbage and put it in special bags. During the cleaning, special attention was paid to greenery, flower beds, and trees. Such work contributes to the proper growth of greenery and helps keep the air clean. According to the participants, each cleaned area is a concrete step towards a more comfortable life for residents.

Such cleaning operations have been organized 43 times since the beginning of the year. During this time, about 40 tons of garbage have been removed from the city. This high figure indicates the residents' inclination towards environmental culture, their contribution to making the city clean and beautiful. In total, more than 3 thousand citizens participated in the mentioned actions and voluntarily took care of the environment.

During the weekend, college students, schoolchildren, volunteers, and residents of the district worked together. They cleaned yards, ditches, lawns, and flower beds. They also cleaned irrigation systems and ditches of debris and prevented waterways from becoming blocked. These measures regulated the flow of water and created conditions for the growth of greenery.

Yerbol Baikonysov, deputy executive secretary of the Shymkent city branch of the Amanat party, participated in the action and addressed the residents. He said: "We call on the residents of Shymkent to maintain cleanliness. After all, cleanliness is the key to health. Therefore, we must do this systematically in order to turn Shymkent into a green city. If everything is clean, we will always be spiritually and ecologically clean. Only then will we become a real nation."

According to the participants, participation in the Sabbath is not limited to cleaning the yard and street. It is an opportunity for people to interact with each other, understand their role in society, and set an example for the younger generation. Students and young people, seeing the results of their own hands, absorb the responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the city. Such events increase people's love for their region.

As a result of the work of the participants of the Sabbath, not only the yards and streets were cleaned, but also the environment was made more attractive and comfortable. Lawns and flower beds were cleaned of debris, ditches and waterways were put in order. These works will allow the city's residents to live comfortably, especially ensuring safety and cleanliness for children and the elderly.

During the campaign, the organizers also held environmental education and training events. Participants in the cleanup were given advice on proper garbage sorting, waste recycling, and green space maintenance. Students learned these skills in a hands-on manner. They participated in garbage collection, ditch cleaning, and green space maintenance, thereby instilling a culture of environmental protection.

One of the participants of the Saturday clean-up, a female student, commented: "I participated in cleaning my yard and contributed to the cleanliness of the city with my own hands. It's a wonderful feeling. Each person's own actions are important for the city. If we all keep our yards and streets clean, Shymkent will become a truly green city."

Another important result of the Sabbath is the increase in environmental culture among residents. When young people and adults work together, a sense of cooperation, responsibility, and love for society is formed. These events not only increase environmental responsibility, but also contribute to the beautification of the city.

The Shymkent city administration and the Turan district administration supported the campaign and expressed their gratitude to the participants. They called on residents to be active, protect the environment, and make the city clean and attractive. In addition, the akimat noted the need to maintain the cleanliness of the city by regularly holding environmental clean-ups.

In conclusion, the "Clean Thursday" environmental campaign on November 5 is a clear demonstration of the active participation of Shymkent residents in protecting the environment. Participants of the campaign cleaned their yards, ditches, lawns, collected waste, and put the territory in order. As a result of such events, which have been organized 43 times since the beginning of the year, about 40 tons of garbage were removed, and more than 3 thousand people took part.

This campaign is not just a garbage collection, it is an important event aimed at forming an ecological culture among young people and adults, making the city more attractive, and protecting nature.
