Anti-corruption measures and modern threats discussed at the State Revenue Department
A thematic seminar on compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of anti-corruption, civil service and the Code of Ethics of civil servants, as well as the prevention of gambling addiction (ludomania, gambling) was held in the Department of State Revenue for the Pavlodar region under the chairmanship of Deputy Head - Ethics Commissioner Marat Beisenov.
The event was attended by: Senior operative for particularly important cases, police captain of the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Pavlodar region Police Department Suindik Kayyrbayev, inspector of the Center for Analysis and Development of Interfaith Relations LLP Daulet Zakaryanov.
Marat Beisenov made a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of all the issues under consideration – compliance with anti-corruption legislation, principles of professional ethics, cybersecurity, prevention of extremism and gambling addiction – for the effective work of state revenue agencies.
The seminar was held for the personnel of the Department and territorial departments of State Revenue.
During his speech, Suindik Kayyrbayev elaborated on the most common methods of Internet and telephone fraud. Schemes of messenger fraud, false investment projects, the activities of droppers, as well as the use of "Sim-box" type devices were considered. The participants were given practical recommendations on ensuring digital security and preventing cyber threats.
Daulet Zakaryanov highlighted the issues of legal regulation of religious activities, the procedure for conducting religious rituals and ceremonies, the dissemination of religious literature and religious objects. Special attention is paid to the methods of protection against destructive influence on the Internet and the rules of safe behavior in social networks.
Following the event, Marat Beisenov instructed to strengthen control over compliance with ethical standards and anti-corruption norms at all levels, to ensure strict compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption, on public service and the provisions of the Code of Ethics of Civil Servants. Attention is also focused on the need to be guided by the principles of legality, ensure the safety of state property and official information, and comply with generally accepted moral and ethical standards both on and off duty.
Such events contribute to the improvement of legal culture, strengthening of official discipline and the formation of stable immunity to corruption and other illegal manifestations.
