On February 18, 2026, KazAID Acting Director of the Department of Partnerships and Regional Projects A. Tuimebekova met with representatives of the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program - Country Coordinator N. Shabayev and Partnerships Development Associate N. Mamytova at the UN House in Astana.

During the meeting, the parties discussed promising cooperation mechanisms involving the integration of national and international volunteers into the Official Development Assistance projects. The dialogue also covered the use of UN digital platforms to engage specialized experts in joint initiatives.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in deepening the partnership and their readiness to work together within the framework of the International Year of Volunteers.
