One of the most important political steps in the history of Kazakhstan was the development of the New Constitution. This document marked a new stage in the country's development and included comprehensive reforms aimed at modernizing the public administration system.
On this occasion, a meeting was held at the Regional Innovative University in Shymkent to explain the New Constitution. The meeting was attended by faculty and students.
The speaker of the event, university lecturer Sabyr Imanberdiev, noted in his speech that the main feature of the New Constitution is the priority of human rights and freedoms.
– Human rights and freedoms have been affirmed as the highest values. The equality of every citizen before the law, personal security, freedom of expression, and the right to a fair trial are clearly and distinctly stated. These changes are aimed at strengthening the principle of justice in society and ensuring a balance of responsibility between the state and citizens, – said the speaker.
During the meeting, it was noted that within the framework of constitutional reforms, the presidential model of government was revised and the balance between the branches of power was strengthened. The new version increased the role of Parliament and expanded the powers of maslikhats. It was noted that a number of powers of the President were redistributed, and the transparent and accountable nature of the state administration system was strengthened.
The reorganization of the Constitutional Court based on the new Constitution was also discussed.
– Citizens have the opportunity to directly appeal to the Constitutional Court regarding violations of their rights. This is a clear manifestation of the strengthening of the principle of a legal state, – said Sabyr Imanberdiev.
During the meeting, participants asked questions that concerned them and received comprehensive information about the content of the new norms. The goal of the event is to increase the legal literacy of the population and broadly explain the essence and significance of the Constitutional reforms.
In general, the New Constitution is a solid legal foundation for the formation of a Just Kazakhstan. It is an important document aimed at protecting the rights of citizens, increasing the efficiency of state institutions, and strengthening social harmony in the country.
