One of the important changes in the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan aimed at improving the system of state power is the creation of a new unicameral Parliament. This structure is formed on the basis of the Kurultai and is aimed at increasing the efficiency of legislative activity.

The new unicameral Parliament will consist of 145 deputies with expanded powers. These deputies will participate in the legislative process and will be responsible for making important decisions regarding the socio-political and socio-economic development of the country. In addition, the term of office of deputies is set at 5 years, which will allow them to work stably and systematically.

A proportional electoral system is used when forming a parliament. This system creates conditions for the active participation of political parties in the electoral process and the expansion of their representational opportunities. The proportional electoral system contributes to the development of the personnel policy of parties and allows them to increase their institutional role.

At the same time, this system is aimed at strengthening the accountability of political forces to society. As a result, the creation of a new unicameral Parliament will become the basis for increasing the efficiency of the state governance system, ensuring transparency and accountability of political processes.
