The Kazakh State Circus presented an international touring project in Almaty and highlighted its artists' resounding victories on the global stage. At a press conference at the Regional Communications Service, the circus' management and artists announced the launch of the Italian Belissimo program's tour, as well as their gold and silver medals at the Tashkent International Festival.

Almaty audiences can look forward to a vibrant international event: the Italian circus company Belissimo, led by world-renowned artists Flavio and Bruno Toni. The show combines virtuoso technique, elegance, humor, and a distinctive Italian spirit, and has already captivated audiences worldwide.

"The Almaty Circus will feature acts featuring Bengal and white tigers, as well as, for the first time in Central Asia, unique golden tigers. The program will also include acrobatic triple somersaults, performances by equilibrists, jugglers, and tightrope walkers, graceful horse acts, exquisite clowning with subtle Italian humor, dynamic music, and striking visuals," said Maksat Zhaikov, director of the Kazakh State Circus.

Flavio and Bruno Toni are members of a renowned circus dynasty and the only circus troupe to have won five awards at the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival – gold and silver. Their program is designed for family audiences and impresses children and adults alike. Belissimo's tour in Almaty begins on February 14 and runs through March 24, offering a rare opportunity to experience world-class European circus culture.

As Flavio Toni, a fourth-generation representative of the dynasty, noted, the family deliberately chose Almaty for their tour.

"We came to this beautiful city specifically because we'd heard a lot about the Almaty Circus in Europe. It's known as a strong and respected venue, and we were truly excited to work here," the artist said.

According to him, the first screenings have already confirmed the correctness of this choice.

"The first shows took place last weekend, and we heard a lively reaction from the audience. We see that the audience is truly enjoying the program, and that's the most important thing for us," emphasized Flavio Toni.

Bruno Toni has been working with animals since the age of 13 and currently performs with a group of 11 tigers. He says the artists strive to give audiences vivid emotions and a sense of celebration.
"When a spectator comes to the circus, they want to forget their problems, at least for a while. Our main goal is to connect with the audience. We work not only for children but also for adults, because there's a child inside every adult," said Bruno Toni.

In addition to touring projects, artists from the Kazakh State Circus successfully represented the country at the 2nd International Youth Circus Arts Festival "Silk Road" in Tashkent, organized by the Uzbek Circus. Following the competition, the Almaty artists won two prestigious awards – gold and silver. The gold medal went to the paired hoop act "Air Sphere" performed by Jasmine Alshynbaeva and Avelina Guzey under the direction of Zarina Tapalova. The silver medal went to Ali Salavatov of the Almaty Circus for his act "Juggling Balls on the Floor," directed by Ravil Seidgariyev.

"A memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the Kazakh State Circus and the State Circus of Uzbekistan during the festival. The document provides for the development of joint projects, artist exchanges, production initiatives, and participation in international programs," noted Maksat Zhaikov.

Festival victories and new partnership agreements further confirm the high level of Kazakhstan's circus school and its active presence on the international cultural scene.

Almaty residents and visitors are invited to attend a unique, world-class international circus show that will immerse them in the atmosphere of European circus arts and offer a thrilling experience. Performances will run at the Almaty Circus from February 14 to March 24. Tickets are available on Ticketon.
