Kazakhstan shared its experience in promoting interreligious dialogue

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Israel Mr. Daulet Yemberdiyev took part in the religious conference entitled “Religions Meet, and Their Highest Goal is the Human Being,” organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Israel. The event brought together representatives of Christian (Orthodox and Catholic), Islamic and Jewish confessions, as well as spiritual leaders of the Druze, Sunni and Ahmadiyya Muslim communities of Israel and members of the diplomatic corps.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan held a meeting with Sergey Cheremin, Head of the Department for Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow, and exchanged views on the development of interreligious dialogue, protection of religious minorities, and strengthening cooperation among traditional religions in the interests of sustainable peace and stability.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Kazakh diplomat also briefed the attending delegates on the outcomes of the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in September 2025, as well as on the key provisions of the Astana Declaration of Peace, unanimously supported by all participants of the Congress.

In addition, D. Yemberdiyev gave an interview to the Russian Orthodox television channel Spas TV, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s consistent measures to promote interreligious dialogue and underscoring that the country’s policy in this sphere is aimed at ensuring freedom of religion, fostering tolerance, and preserving harmony among representatives of different religions and cultures.
