A large-scale investment project to expand the production of Khimfarm JSC (trademark: Polpharma Santo) is being implemented in Shymkent. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved the corresponding investment agreement.

It should be noted that the total private investment will amount to approximately 40 billion tenge. The project includes the construction of new production facilities and the expansion of the product line to 38 medications, including treatments for cancer, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases.

The first phase of production is scheduled to launch in late 2029. The investment project will create approximately 300 new jobs, which will positively impact the city's socioeconomic development.

The Polish side also intends to build a Quality and Innovation Center in Shymkent, which will include a research and testing center and modern laboratories for the development of new medicinal products.

It's worth emphasizing that the opening of the plant will increase the share of domestic drug production, reduce dependence on imports, and strengthen Shymkent's position as one of the country's key pharmaceutical hubs.
