At South Kazakhstan University, the head of the city police department, Mukhtar Kozhaev, held a meeting with about 500 students and established an open and meaningful dialogue.
At the meeting, the general not only gave an official speech to the youth, but also discussed *real issues of concern to society*. In particular, the topic was stalking, kidnapping, "dropper" schemes in Internet fraud, drug distribution, the use of vaping and "laughing gas", the culture of wearing masks in public places, and scooter riding.
The police officer noted that *stalking* is considered a crime by law, and insisted that *kidnapping* is not a tradition, but a violation of human rights.
The police chief also touched upon the issue of fraud committed via the Internet and urged young people not to be fooled by offers of *"easy money". He explained that *giving a bank card to a stranger* is tantamount to complicity in a crime. In addition, he warned that *being a drug dealer* also leads to serious criminal liability.
During the meeting, special videos were shown and legal requirements were explained using specific examples. Students asked their questions and openly exchanged views.
*– The security of society depends on the responsibility of every citizen. You are the future of the country. We believe in you and are always ready to support you,* – said Mukhtar Kozhaev.
The meeting became a meaningful platform for young people to think. The police officers will continue to hold preventive meetings with students in the future.
