In honor of the 180th anniversary of the birth of Zhambyl Zhabayev, a literary and musical evening titled “Zhambyl’s Poetry — The Voice of the Nation, The Spirit of the Hero” was held.

On February 27, the institution “Qogamdyq Kelisim” jointly organized the literary and musical evening “Zhambyl’s Poetry — The Voice of the Nation, The Spirit of the Hero,” which was conducted at a high level. This meaningful and spiritually rich event became a vivid expression of respect for the great master of Kazakh poetry.

As part of the evening, guests were presented with the book exhibition “Zhambyl Sung by the Century,” which widely раскрывала the vitality and historical significance of the poet’s creative legacy. A video presentation titled “Zhambyl’s Poetic Life Journey” was also shown, thoughtfully portraying his судьба, creative achievements, and his special place in the history of the people.

Among the participants was Lyazzat Zhanamanova — a teacher at the Kanabek Baiseitov Music College, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and traditional singer-zhyrshy — who spoke about the spiritual and cultural significance of Zhambyl’s heritage.

A teacher of Kazakh language and literature from Secondary School-Lyceum No. 18 named after Baktybay Zholbarysuly, Anar Dosbaevna Saduakasova, highlighted the educational and moral value of the poet’s works, demonstrating deep understanding of his творчество.

In the artistic part of the program:

• college student Khakhar Tangdana performed the dedication “The Beginning of Zhambyl’s Poetry”,
• 3rd-grade student of the “Öner” school Bekzhan Tokhtarkhan recited the poet’s work “Dedication to Poets”,
• and third-year student Nazira Sauytbay выразительно presented the poem “To Zhambyl.”

At the conclusion of the event, “Öner” school student Sezim Kosylbek performed the song-dedication “Zhambyl Zhyr” written by Kenen Azirbayev.

The informative and meaningful evening became a significant cultural event aimed at promoting Zhambyl’s heritage among the younger generation and strengthening respect for national literature and art. Once again, it affirmed that the immortal word of the great akyn is the spiritual strength of the people and their eternal legacy.
