Regional Head Kumar Aksakalov inspected the new buses of PC "Altair".

To date, the regional center has a developed route network comprising 38 routes. Daily, 187 buses operate on the lines, of which 73% are vehicles with a service life of no more than 7 years.

Over the past 3 years, 90 new buses have been acquired through leasing, including 28 units last year.

This year, the carrier PC "Altair" purchased 12 new Yutong brand buses on a 5-year lease at 7% through the Industrial Development Fund.

"Updating public transport and developing passenger transportation remain a priority in forming a comfortable and accessible urban environment. In recent years, with state support, systematic modernization has begun: carriers are acquiring modern buses through leasing mechanisms. As a result of the bus fleet renewal, the share of public transport with a service life of less than 7 years has increased by 8% and reached 81%," noted the regional akim.

According to the regional head, the task is not merely to increase the number of buses, but to qualitatively change the entire system: ensuring regularity of service, improving comfort levels, covering socially significant facilities and new residential areas with transport.

Furthermore, carriers are required to strictly adhere to schedules, ensure discipline, and improve the culture of passenger service.

It is worth noting that today residents have access to modern digital services — through mobile applications, they can track bus movements in real-time, plan routes, and save time.
