High-speed internet is becoming increasingly accessible for residents of rural areas. This marks an important step toward the development of digital infrastructure, improving the quality of education, and providing residents with modern telecommunications services.
Razdolnoye village of the Nuresil rural district in Tselinograd District, with a population of 322 people and 80 households, has become the first settlement in the region where a fiber-optic communication line has been fully implemented under the national project «Affordable Internet.»
Currently, the village has one educational institution. Previously, the school was connected to high-speed satellite internet via Starlink. Now, as part of the national project, fiber-optic connectivity has also been installed and is fully operational at the school.
The implementation of the fiber-optic network construction project became possible thanks to an Investment Agreement. In accordance with the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC Kazakhtelecom for 2026-2027, it is planned to connect 258 rural settlements to high-speed internet via fiber-optic lines, as well as 23 rural settlements using satellite technologies.
The project will continue to be implemented in stages in other rural settlements of the Akmola Region through 2027.
