On June 25, 2026, specialists from the Tourism Department of East Kazakhstan Region conducted a working visit to the Katon-Karagay District as part of the preparations for the international festival "Altai – The Golden Cradle of the Turkic World."

During the visit, the team inspected local tourism facilities, assessed their readiness to receive visitors, and reviewed measures to expand accommodation capacity for the festival period.

Particular attention was given to increasing the number of available accommodations, engaging private households in hosting tourists, organizing a tent camping area, and improving the quality of tourism services. These measures will help ensure comfortable conditions for festival participants and visitors.

The international festival is expected to become a landmark event for East Kazakhstan Region, contributing to the promotion of its tourism potential, the development of tourism infrastructure, and the growth of visitor numbers.
