Abu Dhabi, June 30, 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Rauan Zhumabek held a meeting with Dr. Ibtisam Al Ketbi, Founder and President of the Emirates Policy Center.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakhstan and the UAE cooperation in the field of policy research and analytical studies. They emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the think tanks of the two countries as an effective mechanism for knowledge exchange, developing joint approaches to pressing international issues, and promoting humanitarian ties.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Emirates Policy Center.

The two sides expressed their interest in expanding practical cooperation under the Memorandum, including through joint research projects, expert consultations, conferences, and exchanges of specialists.

The meeting also featured an in-depth exchange of views on current international and regional developments, including the evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

R.Zhumabek presented Dr. Ibtisam Al Ketbi with an official invitation to participate in the international roundtable entitled «Faith-Based Diplomacy in an Age of Global Uncertainty» to be held on October 6, 2026, within the framework of the 24th Meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

Expressing her appreciation for the invitation, Dr. Al Ketbi confirmed her participation in the upcoming event and reaffirmed her readiness to further strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan’s expert and research institutions.
