Every year on 10 August, celebrates Abai Day, on an anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, founder of modern Kazakh written literature Abai Kunanbaiuly.

On the day we are sharing with you an interview with Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to UNESCO Askar Abdrakhmanov that was recently published by Abai literary magazine.

The interview covers topics such as Kazakhstan’s cooperation with this intergovernmental organization, the ongoing work to include the manuscripts of Abai’s works on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register and other issues.
