On August 7, 2026, the regional qualifying chess tournament among civil servants was held in the East Kazakhstan Region. The event brought together representatives of government authorities who demonstrated their intellectual abilities, strategic thinking, and sporting spirit. The winners of the regional stage will represent the region at the annual chess tournament “FINANCE CHESS CUP – 2026.”

Following the tournament, Head of the Tax Audit Division Almas Chilikbayev and Chief Specialist of the Export Control Division of the Department of State Revenues of East Kazakhstan Region Nurlan Konysbayev demonstrated excellent preparation and a high level of skill, successfully advancing through the qualifying stage and earning a place among the top participants.

The winners of the regional qualifying tournament will represent the East Kazakhstan Region at the annual chess tournament “FINANCE CHESS CUP – 2026,” which will be held on October 30–31, 2026, in Astana.
