The State Revenue Department of EKR reminds taxpayers that mandatory digital labeling of beer and beer drinks took effect in the Republic of Kazakhstan on February 1, 2026.

According to the Order No. 330-NK dated November 22, 2025, "On Amendments and Additions to Order No. 343-NK of the Acting Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 27, 2024, 'On Approval of the List of Goods Subject to Mandatory Labeling,'" the following implementation timeline has been established for the mandatory digital labeling of beer and beer drinks:

• from February 1, 2026: mandatory labeling of beer and beer drinks packaged in kegs.

• from September 1, 2026: mandatory labeling of bottles.

• from January 1, 2027: mandatory labeling of beer and beer drinks packaged in cans, accompanied by full traceability - the issuance and confirmation of transfer goods within the system

Labeling is executed using Data Matrix codes.

The production and import of beer and beer drinks without identification means is prohibited starting February 1, 2026.

Simultaneously, unlabelled remaining stocks of beer and beer drinks produced prior to the mandatory digital labeling deadline for their product category may be sold by participants in the circulation of goods within 1 (one) calendar year.
