The Karaganda Regional Children's Library named after Abai is holding meetings with representatives of various professions under the title "All professions are important". A police officer, a zookeeper, a firefighter, a cook, a parachutist and a meteorologist told students about their work.
Marina Kuptsova, head of the meteorological and agrometeorological monitoring department of the Karaganda and Ulytau regions branch of the Kazhydromet RSE, and Aizhan Kosubaeva, head of the meteorological forecasting department, conducted an excursion to the weather station for students in grades 4 and 6 of school-lyceum No. 53. The students not only listened to a lecture about the work of weather forecasters and meteorologists, but also got acquainted with the equipment.
- The children were interested in observing how air temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity level and atmospheric pressure are measured. A rain gauge is a device that measures the amount of rain or snow. The children were even allowed to conduct a small experiment, says Bayan Uatayeva, director of the children's library.
After visiting the station, the students returned to the library, where books about the weather, meteorology, and the profession of a weather forecaster were prepared for the children. Also, those who came on the excursion were awarded the "Young Meteorologist" diploma.
The library also plans to organize meetings with an ophthalmologist, a railway worker, a miner, and an artist.
Schools and children's groups who want to attend one of these meetings can contact the library at the following numbers: 41-23-25, 41-23-26 or Instagram @odb _ abai.
