Turkestan region ranks first in the republic in terms of agricultural indicators. There is systematic work to fulfill the tasks of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regarding the development of this sector.

The total volume of agricultural production in the region in 2024 amounted to 1,083.6 billion tenge. Including: crop production - 690.5 billion tenge, livestock - 383.6 billion tenge. tenge.

Let's take a look at each of them individually, in 12 months 245.8 thousand tons of meat (11.6% increase), 447.1 thousand tons of milk (12.8% increase), and 251.1 thousand eggs (1.7% increase) were produced. Cattle – 970.1 thousand, horses – 430.7 thousand, sheep – 4,318.6 thousand, camels – 41 thousand.

Last year, 34 investment projects worth 44.6 billion tenge were implemented, creating about 300 jobs. The largest of them are: the project "Fattening complex for 5,000 heads of livestock" by "Ernur-Corporation" LLP in Baidibek district (2 billion tenge), the project "Fattening station for 25 thousand heads of livestock per year" by "Karkyn - 2030" LLP in Kazygurt district with a cost of 1.1 billion tenge, and the project "Compound feed plant with a capacity of 46 thousand tons per year" by "Nurym Group" LLP in Sairam district with a cost of 2.3 billion tenge. At the same time, the project "Fattening complex for 5,000 heads of livestock" of the agricultural cooperative "Zhasyl Aimak" in the Sauran district worth 3.5 billion tenge and the project of "VITA" LLP in the Shardara district worth 1.5 billion tenge. The project "Production of composite fish products with a capacity of 136 tons per year" was implemented.

On the instructions of the head of the region, Nuralkhan Kusherov, work has been intensified on diversifying crops and introducing water-saving technologies. Work will continue in the region to open deep processing plants for agricultural products and increase the export potential of domestic products.
