TURKESTAN: ECOTOURISM IS DEVELOPING IN TOLEBI

Ecotourism is developing rapidly in the Turkestan region. The regional governor, Nuralkhan Kusherov, instructed to develop the tourism industry. In this regard, the governor of the Tolebi district, Erkegali Alimkulov, met with representatives of the Sairam-Ogem State National Natural Park and discussed ways to establish partnership.
The territory of the national park is divided into three zones with different access regimes: protected (entrance is closed), tourist and recreational. The Sairam peak, located at an altitude of 4236 meters above sea level, is located within the park. Also, 1635 plant species grow on the territory of the Kyryk Girls, Makpal Lake (at an altitude of 2100 m above sea level), Biram-Ogem National Park. The head of the institution reported that 17,519 hectares of the park are allocated for recreational and tourist activities, and 11 tourist routes have been organized for visitors. Currently, 29 land plots with a total area of 343.2 hectares are allocated for tourist and recreational purposes.
In addition, the need to develop infrastructure and build roads to increase the number of recreation areas and develop ecotourism was noted. Work in this direction will continue.
