On 06/23/2025, employees of the Auezhai-Shymkent customs post of the Department of State Revenue in Shymkent, during customs control, detained undeclared goods - "medicines" in the amount of 128.8 kg (14,422 pieces of various types), which arrived on the Istanbul-Shymkent flight, and placed them in a temporary storage warehouse.During customs control, passenger "D" did not have permits for importation into the territory of the EAEU. On June 20, 2025, the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to UNESCO participated in the event dedicated to International Tea Day held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.The soirée was organized by the UNESCO Community Association in partnership with the Franco-Chinese Cultural and Artistic Exchange Centre on the occasion of International Tea Day, proclaimed by the United Nations in 2019 and celebrated annually on May 21. In 2025, the celebration took place for the fourth time and brought together organizers of national booths from 17 of the tea-loving countries.The Kazakhstan booth this year was organized by the Alem Association, one of the local initiatives to bring together Kazakhs residing in France.At the national stand attendees could watch a beautiful video on Kazakhstan’s tea traditions produced by the Kazakhstan Diplomats’ Wives Community. The action "Ashyk Kabyldau", organized within the framework of the national narrative "Law and Order", has started in the East Kazakhstan region. The main purpose of the event is to strengthen the legal culture of the population, increase the openness of government agencies and ensure the availability of legal aid to citizens. The action was attended by employees of the Anti-Corruption Service for East Kazakhstan region, as well as representatives of other law enforcement and authorized bodies of the region. The special feature of the campaign was that consultations were held in public places such as shopping and entertainment centers, parks, community service centers, as well as in regional centers of the region. During the meeting with the citizens, the specialists provided free legal assistance, answered questions regarding the protection of rights and interests, and advised on anti-corruption issues. The staff of the Anti-Corruption Service for East Kazakhstan Region explained in detail the procedure for reporting corruption, the mechanism for submitting applications, and also talked about the work of the 1424 unified call center. Particular attention was paid to the fact that the information about the applicants is confidential and is under State protection. Bucharest, June 20, 2025 — a ceremonial conference dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher, and educator Abai Kunanbayev was held at the National Library of Romania, one of Bucharest’s main cultural centers. This significant event became a true bridge of cultural understanding between Kazakhstan and Romania, bringing together members of the diplomatic corps, scholars, artists, and public figures.The conference opened with a welcome address by Mr. Yerlik Ali, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Romania. In his speech, he emphasized the exceptional significance of Abai as a symbol of the spiritual awakening of the Kazakh people and a universal humanist whose ideas remain relevant at all times.The event participants were shown a documentary film that reveals the life of Abai, his contribution to the development of Kazakh literature, philosophy and national identity.Particular attention was drawn to the speech of Professor of the Faculty of Turkology of the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Mrs. Margareta Aslan. With academic depth and sincere admiration, she presented to the audience the rich philosophical heritage of Abai, emphasizing his contribution to the world dialogue of cultures.An integral part of the evening was the moving artistic reading of Abai’s Words of Edification by renowned Romanian actor Mr. Eugen Cristea. His expressive performance brought the ancient Kazakh wisdom to life in the Romanian language, evoking genuine interest and heartfelt responses from the audience.The program concluded with a musical performance by award-winning pianist Mrs. Dana Ali, a laureate of international competitions. She performed some of Abai’s most renowned compositions, filling the hall with an atmosphere of elevation, tenderness, and deep reverence for the great poet.As part of the event, all participants received copies of Words of Edification in Romanian — a gesture of cultural dialogue and the pursuit of mutual understanding. Today, an offline workshop "AqylTech and it-Aiel" was organized in Turkestan, dedicated to improving the digital and financial literacy of women and young people. The event brought together young people and women from district cities of Turkestan region who want to be competitive in the digital world.The meeting was opened by the deputy head of the Department of digitalization, public services and archives of the Turkestan region Turabi Seitovich. He stressed the importance of mastering modern technologies for the participants.During the workshop, participants received useful information on the basics of digital skills, financial planning, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. All this knowledge can be used by them in the future to generate income and effectively manage the family economy.And the IT-Aiel project is aimed at increasing digital literacy and strengthening economic independence of young mothers and women with many children.        On June 18–19, 2025, a sub-regional international online seminar on intellectual property risk management for customs authorities of Central Asian countries was held with the support of the World Customs Organization (WCO). The event took place in a videoconference format and brought together representatives of the State Revenue Committee, its regional bodies, as well as customs administrations of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.      The seminar aimed to strengthen the capacity of customs authorities in the region to combat counterfeit goods and enhance the effective use of WCO’s modern tools for risk analysis related to intellectual property rights (IPR) violations.
