New initiative in the National Guard: best soldiers awarded the rank of junior sergeant 28.04.2026
A key feature of the new initiative introduced in the National Guard is that the most distinguished conscript servicemen are now given the opportunity to be awarded the rank of junior sergeant during their period of service.Among the first to benefit from this opportunity is Junior Sergeant Nurkeldi Zhayylkhan. He completed specialized training at the National Guard training center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was awarded the rank. He is currently serving in military unit 5573 in Astana. It should be noted that, for the first time, the rank of junior sergeant at the training center has been awarded to soldiers who demonstrated strong knowledge and professional skills. The selected servicemen underwent training camps and internships, after which they were involved in training new recruits.Today, they organize unit activities, command subunits during operational tasks, and, as patrol leaders, participate in maintaining public order. In total, this opportunity has been granted to 30 guardsmen. Its advantage lies in the fact that after completing their service, soldiers can begin a career in law enforcement agencies without delay, already holding the rank of junior sergeant. The implementation of this project not only enhances the professional level of young servicemen but also significantly increases their motivation for service. Guard Next: a modern National Guard project focused on youth 28.04.2026
On the eve of May 7 — Defender of the Fatherland Day — special importance is given to projects aimed at strengthening patriotic spirit and shaping a modern image of military service. One such initiative is the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan program National Guard Next Generation. A key component of it is the musical project Guard Next.As part of Guard Next, the Exemplary Band of the National Guard performs at higher education institutions in Astana, offering students vibrant musical evenings. These concerts go beyond cultural events, becoming an effective platform for patriotic education and increasing young people’s interest in military service. The wind orchestra, composed of servicemen, performs global hits and domestic compositions in a modern arrangement, creating a unique atmosphere for the audience. The combination of contemporary pop medleys and retro melodies demonstrates that the military is not only about strict discipline but also a space with strong cultural and spiritual potential. The program is further enhanced by elements of drill performances by the Honor Guard Company, adding to the visual appeal and leaving a lasting impression on the audience. It is important to note that such events contribute to promoting the principle of “Law and Order,” fostering legal awareness in society. A high level of legal culture serves as the foundation for sustainable development, security, and justice. The values of discipline, responsibility, and respect for the law — which form the core of military service — are reflected in the concert programs and serve as a clear example for young people. It should also be noted that earlier, as part of the National Guard Next Generation mega-project, the literary challenge “BOOKGUARD” was launched.
