Akmola Region has completed the sowing campaign 03.06.2025
The region, traditionally considered the grain heart of the country, has once again become one of the first to fully complete the spring fieldwork. While only about 60% of sowing work had been completed by this time last year, this season the region finished the task early—within just 19 days.According to the regional Department of Agriculture, the total sown area reached 5.5 million hectares, which is 63,000 hectares more than the previous year. The work was carried out at a high agrotechnical level, within optimal timeframes, and with full mobilization of resources.Preparation began back in winter: snow retention was carried out in the fields, followed in spring by moisture conservation and tillage over more than 2 million hectares of land. This is three times higher than last year’s figure. Around 37,000 units of equipment, including modern seeding complexes, were involved in the fieldwork, allowing for an organized and delay-free campaign. A regional agrarian council was established to provide 24/7 support and consultations to farmers. The regional governor expressed his gratitude to agricultural producers during a field visit to the Zerendinsky District.“This year, we provided early financing, discounted fuel, and all the necessary resources to our farmers. This yielded positive results: the sowing proceeded smoothly,” emphasized Marat Akhmetzhanov.Government support played a crucial role: 778 agricultural enterprises received loans totaling over 100 billion tenge, and more than 76,000 tons of diesel fuel were supplied at reduced prices. There has been an increase in the area sown with strategically important crops. Grain and leguminous crops covered 4.6 million hectares, while oilseeds reached a record 430,000 hectares—161,000 hectares more than last year. The areas planted with fodder crops, vegetables, and potatoes also increased.Favorable weather conditions also contributed to the good emergence: precipitation slightly exceeded the norm, resulting in even and dense sprouting across the region—an important foundation for a future harvest.Among the farms that were among the first to complete sowing were LLP “Agrofirma Rodina,” “Aktyk,” “Zarechnoye,” “Novoprirechnoye,” “Belgorodskoye,” “Khleborob,” “Zher-1,” and others.“We see significant investment and attention from the state. Our current task is to maintain the pace and ensure timely crop protection,” noted Vitaly Goncharov, Director of LLP “Viktorovskoye.”The next stage is harvest preparation. Farmers must implement protective measures, service their machinery, and ensure the readiness of grain elevators. However, the successful start to the agricultural season already inspires confidence: the region is moving at a good pace with a strong foundation for the upcoming harvest.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/aqmola-ush/press/news/details/1011017?lang=kk

151.2 thousand hectares were treated against locusts in Aktobe region 03.06.2025
At a staff meeting chaired by the head of the region, Askhat Shakharov, the current situation and plans for locust control were discussed. According to Asylkhan Abtiyev, head of the regional territorial inspection of the State Inspection Committee in the Agro-Industrial Complex, a large-scale locust control campaign is underway in the region. Chemical treatment will be carried out on an area of 512.9 thousand hectares, of which 368.5 thousand hectares are planned to be treated by land, and 144.6 thousand hectares by air. 95 units of special equipment were involved: 73 ground-based fan sprayers, 13 aerosol generators and 9 light aircraft. It is worth noting that the hatching of locust larvae occurred earlier than usual due to abnormally warm weather. In late April and early May, massive pest outbreaks were already recorded in Shalkarsky, Irgizsky and a number of other districts. For this reason, chemical processing of fields began on May 14 in most districts of the region. "The region is fully supplied with the necessary pesticides supplied by specialized companies Bagzhan LLP, Magtoksin LLP and Aero Airline LLP. Contractors have used most of the equipment. For example, Bagzhan LLP delivered 61 of 73 ground sprayers. Light aircraft are promptly dispatched to the districts upon request. Flights have already been made to Irgiz, Bayganinsky, Wilsky and Shalkar districts to treat pest outbreaks," Asylkhan Abtiev said. As of June 1, over 803,000 hectares have been surveyed. Of the 172.6 thousand hectares planned for processing, 151.2 thousand hectares have already been processed. Taking into account the current phytosanitary situation in the region, the akim of the region instructed to ensure the daily work of the operational headquarters for monitoring and responding to locust pests, to maintain constant coordination between agricultural services, contractors and akimats of the districts. "The situation with locust pests requires extreme concentration of attention. We must prevent crop damage. The Headquarters must meet daily. Every fact of pest infestation is a signal for immediate action. There is only one method to carry out the processing in a timely and high-quality manner. The work should be organized clearly, smoothly and without delay," the governor of the region emphasized.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/aktobe-til/press/news/details/1010968?lang=kk

Traffic Flow Improves in Kostanay - New Right-Turn Lanes Opened 03.06.2025
As part of the roadmap developed to improve transport infrastructure and enhance road safety in the city of Kostanay, extensive preparatory work was carried out last year, including the construction of seven additional right-turn lanes and the expansion of ten street intersections.            In the latest phase of the project, new right-turn lanes were opened on the "Bereke – Airport" road section, allowing drivers to turn right onto Stantsionnaya and Uralskaya streets from both directions without waiting for a green traffic light.            It is worth noting that this practice has been implemented in Kostanay for the third consecutive year. This innovative approach significantly eases traffic flow and increases road capacity. In addition, the movement of freight vehicles and buses over the railway crossings on the "Bereke – Airport" route has been prohibited — appropriate road signs have been installed.            This year, the installation of right-turn lanes and road widening work will continue at the intersections of Kairbekova and Nazarbayeva, Tauelsizdik and Borodina, Al-Farabi and Abai Avenue, as well as at the intersections of Abai Avenue with Gogol Street, Tauelsizdik with Altynsarina, Al-Farabi with Chekhov and Tauelsizdik, Baimagambetova with Gagarina, and Baimagambetova with Baumana. Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/kostanai-kalasy-akimat/press/news/details/1010980?lang=kk
