On November 27, 2024, centralized auctions of electric capacity for the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan were held on the trading platform of KOREM JSC, taking into account the North-South capacity.To conduct centralized trading of electric power, the following initial parameters were provided to KOREM JSC by a Single buyer and a System Operator:the projected demand for electric power in the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 6,113.1 MW, including 4,480.2 MW in the Northern Zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 1,632.9 MW in the Southern zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan;The capacity of power transmission lines connecting the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 1,100 MW.The maximum tariff for the service for maintaining the availability of electric power is 1,170 thousand tenge/MW per month (excluding VAT).21 energy-producing organizations took part in centralized auctions of electric capacity.According to the results of centralized trading of electric power, the total volume of sold capacity in the Northern and Southern zones of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 6,113.1 MW, including 4,480.2 MW in the Northern Zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 1,632.9 MW in the Southern zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The number of concluded transactions in the trading system was 21.
