With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Slovenia, an evening dedicated to art and friendship between the two countries took place. East Kazakhstan Took Part in One of the World’s Largest Tourism Exhibitions ITB Berlin 2026 13.03.2026
Kazakhstan took part in one of the world’s largest tourism exhibitions, ITB Berlin 2026, which was held in Berlin from March 3 to 5. This year, the exhibition brought together 5,601 exhibitors from 166 countries, while the number of participants reached around 97 thousand people, once again confirming the high international status of the platform.East Kazakhstan Region was also represented as part of the Kazakh delegation at the exhibition. The region was represented by Irina Smit, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department of East Kazakhstan Region. At the ITB Berlin venue, the tourism potential of East Kazakhstan Region was presented as one of the most picturesque and distinctive regions of the country.As part of the presentation of East Kazakhstan, the region’s unique natural and tourism resources were introduced to the international audience: the majestic Altai Mountains, lakes, forests, rich biodiversity, and opportunities for active recreation, ecological, mountain, water, and wellness tourism. The article separately notes that about 40% of the region’s territory is protected, and that the region is especially attractive for such types of tourism as hiking, horseback routes, cycling tourism, ski tourism, and water recreation.Particular attention at the international venue was given to promoting the natural attractions of East Kazakhstan, including Altai and Mount Muztau (Belukha), which is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cash Register Transition to Protocol Version 2.0.3 13.03.2026
Dear Taxpayers!In accordance with changes to the technical requirements for cash register machines (CRMs), approved by the order of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On certain issues related to the use of cash register machines," a new data transfer protocol from CRMs to the fiscal data operators' server, Version 2.0.3 (hereinafter – Protocol Version 2.0.3), has been developed. This protocol provides for automatic connection to the National Goods Catalogue and the determination of CRM geolocation.The deadline for transitioning to Protocol Version 2.0.3 was set for November 17, 2025.Please be reminded that a complete shutdown of Protocol Version 2.0.2 is scheduled for April 1, 2026. Kazakhstan in the UN Commission on Drugs: the transition from a defense strategy to a global offensive against drug trafficking revenues 13.03.2026
Attorney General of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Asylov spoke at the 69th session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs.The central theme of the address to the session participants was the transition to high-tech methods of combating the drug threat through a unique coordination system that allowed law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan to focus on destroying the financial infrastructure of crime. The level of such counteraction has acquired an international character, since restrictions were imposed on 260 thousand suspicious accounts in foreign banks at the request of the Kazakh side. Over the past five years, the country's authorized authorities have eliminated more than 400 drug laboratories and suppressed the activities of 75 organized criminal groups, while over the same period, over 147 tons of drugs were seized from illicit trafficking, including a record shipment of cocaine with a volume of more than 13 tons.As the Prosecutor General emphasized, the neutralization of drug trafficking is the foundation for Kazakhstan to ensure the rule of law and the safety of citizens.The participation of the Kazakh delegation in the new status of an official member of the Commission marked the stage of the country's deep integration into the international security system and recognition of the effectiveness of national reforms.Kazakhstan has confirmed its readiness not only to follow international conventions, but also to actively implement innovative digital tools to detect drug trafficking on the Internet.During the discussion, the delegation of our country, consisting of employees of the Prosecutor General's Office, the National Security Committee, the Financial Monitoring Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and non-governmental organizations, proposed to the world community to develop a unified approach to blocking the financial accounts of the drug business, which will make it possible to undermine its economic foundations much more effectively.The high level of the current session of the UN Commission is given by the participation of heads of state, government and diplomatic missions in it, which underlines the global importance of the issue under consideration and the need for consolidated solutions in the field of drug control.
