The 33rd session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Kostanay region was held in Kostanay, dedicated to an important date — the 30th anniversary of the founding of the APK.  During his working trip to the Aral region, Kazakh Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov got acquainted with the chemical processing works against especially dangerous pests carried out in this region and took part in a meeting of the emergency headquarters."60 thousand hectares of territory have been developed in the Kyzylorda region. 18,000 hectares need chemical treatment. Currently, 11,700 hectares of land are being cultivated. "I keep my personal control in order to complete this work as soon as possible and with high-quality execution," the minister said.As of May 26, the region is fighting locusts. 11,706,000 hectares of the planned 19,654,000 hectares have been cultivated. 4 light aircraft, 2 ultralight aircraft, 12 ground units, 5 drones and 45 rear vehicles were used in pest control. The total area to be cultivated will be 60,024 thousand hectares. Contracts have been signed with the supplier organizations for the planned sites.To coordinate the work, an emergency headquarters has been established under the leadership of Deputy akim of the region Bakhyt Zhakhanov. Such headquarters are operating in all districts. 279 specialists are involved in monitoring and control in local areas.        The region has a state university, the D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (hereinafter referred to as the University), with a 60-year history (established in 1968), which trains specialists in the technical industry (from builders to mining metallurgists, chemists and programmers).        In 2008, the University established the East Kazakhstan Regional Technopark Altai LLP (hereinafter referred to as the Technopark), whose mission is to develop and introduce new areas of innovation development.        As a result of a number of transactions on the purchase and alienation of shares of participants in the Technopark, their composition has changed.       An analysis of the legality of the transfer of state assets to a competitive environment has established signs of the transfer of University property to a private entity through manipulation of shares in the authorized capital.       Preliminary conclusions were confirmed during a prosecutor's inspection of the Technopark's activities, namely: the facts of causing property damage in the amount of more than 1.5 billion (by reducing the University's share, as well as withdrawing funds), illegal pledge of state property worth 1.4 billion, illegal use of tax benefits by an unscrupulous co-founder were established.       As a result of the audit, an act of supervision was submitted to the University, within the framework of which the state university filed a lawsuit for the cancellation of the pledge agreements, as well as the minutes of the meeting on reducing the share of the authorized capital.      The Prosecutor's Office entered the trial as an interested party.       As a result of the court proceedings, all encumbrances were lifted from the state property, 78.48% of the participation in the Technopark worth 535 million illegally transferred to a third party were returned to the University, and the debts of the Technopark to the unscrupulous co-founder in the amount of 1.6 billion were canceled.      Based on the audit materials, the Department of Economic Investigations in East Kazakhstan region launched a pre–trial investigation under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan - causing property damage by deception or abuse of trust. Riyadh, May 26, 2025 – Four citizens of Kazakhstan who embarked on the Hajj pilgrimage by car from the city of Semey have arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Yerzhan Slyambekov, Aidar Kurmanov, Kanat Saimov, and Leonid Payazitov were warmly welcomed by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, Madiyar Menilbekov, who held a meeting with them at the Embassy.During the meeting, the pilgrims shared details of their 13-day journey and the route they followed. They departed from Semey, passing through several cities including Astana, Aktobe, and Atyrau, then crossed the territories of the Russian Federation, Georgia, Turkey, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates before reaching Saudi Arabia.The total length of this historic journey amounted to approximately 10 000 kilometers. From Riyadh, the pilgrims will head to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. The Ambassador wished them a safe journey and a successful completion of their pilgrimage to Islam’s sacred sites.It is worth noting that in the 19th century, the great historical figure Kunanbai Uskenbaiuly, the father of Abai, also performed the Hajj after undertaking a long journey that lasted several months.
