Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, a national meeting was held to discuss the development of the country's fuel and energy sector. Following the President's visit to Qatar, an agreement was signed for the construction of a combined-cycle plant with a capacity of 1,100 MW, valued at KZT 800 billion. A land plot of 280 hectares in the Syrdarya region has been designated for this project, which is scheduled for completion in 2028. A feasibility study is currently being developed. The project will also include the construction of high-voltage power lines "Kyzylorda-Zhezkazgan" and "Kyzylorda-Shymkent," each with a capacity of 500 kilovolts.
