Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Arrives in Iran on Official Visit 08.06.2025

Kazakhstan and India Strengthen Economic Partnership: Outcomes of the Central Asia – India Business Council 08.06.2025
New Delhi, June 5, 2025 – As part of the official visit to the Republic of India, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu took part in the Central Asia – India Business Council.In his speech, the Kazakh Foreign Minister emphasized India’s importance as a key strategic partner in South Asia and noted the existing potential for growth in bilateral trade between Kazakhstan and India – from the current 1 billion US dollars in 2024 to 3 billion dollars in the near future. He also drew attention to the 41% increase in Indian investments in Kazakhstan’s economy, which exceeded 525 million dollars.“We consider this only as the beginning. Kazakhstan, as the largest economy in Central Asia and a transit hub between East and West, is ready to strengthen cooperation with India in such areas as trade, digital transformation, critical minerals, energy security, and humanitarian ties,” the Minister stated.Particular attention was paid to transport and logistical connectivity. Contributing factors included the introduction of a 14-day visa-free regime and the launch of direct flights between Almaty and New Delhi. Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Pays Official Visit to India 08.06.2025

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Indian strategic partnership. A ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of State Symbols was held in Kostanay 08.06.2025
On June 4, a ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on the square in front of the Akimat building of the Kostanay region.The holiday brought together representatives of regional structures, young people, military personnel, activists, schoolchildren and students. A new Children's Art Center for 1,300 children has opened in the city of Tobyl in the Kostanay district. The event was attended by the Akim of the Kostanay region, Kumar Aksakalov.As the head of the region emphasized in his speech, the development of human capital and the development of the potential of young people is a priority task outlined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev. There is a modern technology park with areas of robotics, Lego construction, photo and video studios, a STEAM laboratory and a hydroponics room.At the music school, more than 250 students receive education in 12 areas. Over the past year alone, the school's material and technical base was updated for the amount of 107 million tenge: new musical instruments and digital equipment were purchased. The dombra is especially popular among students - this year 86 children are studying this instrument. Interest in other national instruments - kobyz and zhetigen - is also growing.Over the past three years, students of the institution have become laureates and diploma winners of more than 200 regional, national and international competitions. On June 5, Ecologist Day, Kazakhstan, like the rest of the world, pays attention to environmental protection issues. Today, when sustainable development is becoming the basis of state and regional policy, ecology in Kostanay region is designated as one of the strategic priorities. This is not just a fashionable trend, but an urgent need dictated by the challenges of the time and responsibility to future generations.Environmental agenda of Kostanay regionKostanay region is a large agro-industrial region. The development of agriculture, mining and transport requires careful treatment of natural resources. In recent years, the region has been taking measures aimed at improving the environmental situation: Introduction of automated emission monitoring systems in Kostanay, Rudny, Zhitikara and Lisakovsk; Programs for greening settlements and restoring forests; Increasing the environmental responsibility of industrial enterprises; Support for initiatives for separate waste collection and recycling.For the Ecologist Day, many events and activities are held annually in the Kostanay region aimed at involving residents in environmental protection.The following events were held in the region:- On May 29, 2025, by order of the State Institution "Department of Natural Resources and Nature Management Regulation of the Akimat of the Kostanay Region", the Public Foundation "Ecological Club "Neco" held an eco-hour "Nature without borders - forest, water, cleanliness".
