During a working meeting between the Akim of Kostanay Region Kumar Aksakalov and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ERG S.a.r.l. Shukhrat Ibragimov, the construction of a hot briquetted iron (HBI) plant in the city of Rudny was discussed.This strategically important project will become a new stage in the development of ferrous metallurgy in the region and will attract 500 billion tenge of investment, create 1,100 new jobs and produce 2 million tons of HBI per year.The production of hot briquetted iron will ensure deeper processing of raw materials and increase the added value of products.Current project statusPre-project preparation is currently underway, the modern technology "Midrex" has been selected.
