LIFELONG LEARNING: A STEP TOWARDS THE CONVERGENCE OF EDUCATION AND THE LABOR MARKET
A seminar dedicated to the development of microqualifications as a tool for adapting the education system to the requirements of the modern labor market was held in Almaty.
Within the framework of the Strategic Partners Forum, an agreement was reached between the Information Center for Academic Mobility and Recognition (CIMEA, Italy) and the National Center for Higher Education Development of the EOM of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the organization of a seminar on microqualifications.
The seminar was held with the support of Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I.Satpayev and Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.
The seminar was attended by representatives of 103 universities and colleges in Kazakhstan.
The seminar was opened by Gulzhan Jarasova, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who spoke about the normative legal acts regulating non-formal education and microqualification. Banu Narbekova, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, spoke about the standards for the development and implementation of microqualification. Lyazzat Shonaeva, Deputy Director of the Department of Human Capital Development at the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", focused on the role of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs in the development of professional qualifications. Sandugash Konkaeva, Director of the Department of Methodological Support of the National Qualification System of the CRTR, spoke about the interaction of various structures in the development of professional qualifications.
The participants were introduced to the international perspective by Luca Lantero, CEO of CIMEA, and Ciara Finocetti, Director. They presented the Italian experience and international standards in the field of microqualification.
The seminar program included a discussion of successful examples of the introduction of microqualifications in key sectors of the economy: IT, marketing, finance and manufacturing. At the end of the event, a cooperation agreement was signed between the National Center for Higher Education Development and CIMEA, which paves the way for the integration of international experience into the educational system of Kazakhstan.
The three-day workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to study international practices in detail and exchange experiences with leading CIMEA specialists. This event was an important step in modernizing vocational education and strengthening its connection with the current demands of the labor market.
