In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, more than 1,000 km of roads were repaired in the West Kazakhstan region in 2023-2024. In particular, 562 km were repaired in 2023 and 445 km in 2024.
This year, reconstruction of the first and fourth sections (72 km) of the Podstepnoye-Fedorovka-Russian border route, the total length of which is 144 km, is underway. The second and third sections (72 km) will be implemented at the expense of KPO BV in 2025. Today, work is underway to transport inert materials and prepare bypass roads.
In 2019, the President set the task to build 245 km of roads connecting Kaztalovsky, Bokeyordinsky and Zhanibek districts with Uralsky. From 2019 to 2022, 125 km of the road was completed, 104 km in 2023, and the remaining 16 km in 2024.
For residents of the Zhanibek district, located 500 km from the regional center, this year was full of joyful news. The construction of the road to the area has been fully completed. Residents who have been experiencing difficulties on the roads for several years now have no problems getting to Uralsk.
"We used to spend a lot of time traveling to the regional center. This year, the construction of the road has been fully completed and put into operation. This has a great impact on the economic development of our area. We express our gratitude to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who supported the construction of this road," said Beket Alipkaliyev, a resident of Zhanibek district.
