SNOW REMOVAL WORKS CONTINUE IN SHYMKENT

In Shymkent, snow removal works are primarily carried out on routes leading to socially significant facilities (hospitals, schools, kindergartens, pedestrian paths, etc.), as well as on the main thoroughfares of the city. About 40 small tractors are used to prevent ice on footpaths in five districts of the city. Utility services manually clean streets and intersections where vehicles cannot pass.
When the air temperature is low and dry snow falls, the snow is first raked and then sprinkled with inert materials (sand, salt), after which cleaning work is carried out. If wet snow falls, inert materials are used first, and then snow removal begins.
The work of each piece of equipment is monitored through installed GPS devices, and special teams are promptly dispatched to areas with an increased likelihood of icing. The tasks are monitored by a special monitoring group.
Due to adverse weather conditions in recent days, all the machines available to contractors have been fully mobilized for cleaning. The main streets are being cleared by several pieces of equipment at the same time.
However, due to the prolonged and heavy snowfall, it proved difficult to clear all the streets at once. We ask the residents of the city to treat this situation with understanding!
In total, 189 units of special equipment and 500 employees are involved in snow removal in the city. At the moment, all employees work around the clock in two shifts.
