More than 411 thousand people have received targeted social assistance as of December 1, 2024

As of December 1, 2024, 411.3 thousand people from 77.6 thousand families have been assigned targeted social assistance (hereinafter referred to as TSA). This year, 54.7 billion tenge has been allocated from the budget for these purposes.
As previously reported, the main purpose of the TSA is to bring a family out of a difficult life situation by providing support in the form of cash payments and involving able–bodied family members in active measures to promote employment.
The TSA provides for:
- quarterly assignment of social assistance to citizens whose income does not exceed 70% of the regional subsistence level;
- provision of monthly additional payments to children from low-income families aged 1 to 6 years inclusive in the amount of 1.5 MCI (5,538 tenge) per child. As of December 1 of this year, an additional payment was made to 128.8 thousand preschool children from among the recipients of the TSA in the amount of 5.0 billion tenge.;
- promoting employment through employment, providing grants to families motivated to start their own business, sending them to advanced training courses (if necessary), and others.
Currently, Kazakhstanis can apply for an ASP appointment by contacting the career center, the akim of the rural district at their place of residence, or through the e-government portal (egov.kz ).
