Kazakhstani goods are gaining popularity in the UAE market

Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev met with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi at the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan at EXPO 2020 in Dubai. During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation: trade, joint projects and logistics.
Special attention was paid to products made in Kazakhstan, which are in growing demand in the UAE market. Arman Shakkaliyev stressed Kazakhstan's readiness to supply organic agricultural products, including chilled mutton, which has already gained recognition in the UAE. In addition, Kazakhstan is ready to export high-quality flour, sunflower oil, confectionery and dairy products.
"For 10 months of 2024, the export of mutton amounted to 13.3 thousand tons worth 45.3 million dollars. Compared to the same period last year, volumes increased by 2 times, and export revenue increased by 64%," the minister noted.
The Minister also stressed: "We are actively developing the certification of products according to Halal standards. Since 2014, more than 1,800 domestic and foreign companies have been certified, which confirms the high quality and compliance of Kazakhstani products with international standards."
During the meeting, Zhenis Oserbai, General Director of QazTrade JSC, presented Kazakhstan's export potential and presented key areas for entering the UAE market. He noted the importance of supporting domestic exporters in matters of accreditation, certification and labeling of products, as well as the participation of Kazakhstani manufacturers in major international exhibitions such as Gulfood and ADIPEC. In addition, the release of Kazakhstani goods to the UAE retail chains, including LuLu and Grandiose, was discussed.
The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade stressed the importance of establishing trading houses as permanent representative offices for effective product promotion and taking into account the needs of local consumers.
During the meeting, a tasting of Kazakhstani products was organized, including lamb, confectionery and apples, the quality and taste of which were highly appreciated by the guests.
