A new dormitory building of the Syrym College, designed for 30 places, was put into operation in the Syrym district of the West Kazakhstan region.
Currently, 115 students are studying at the college in the specialties of agricultural specialist, welder, electrician, cook, etc.
The opening of the new dormitory building was attended by the Governor of the West Kazakhstan region Nariman Toregaliev, veterans of the education sector, teachers, students and residents of the region.
“The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared this year the Year of Working Professions. This is a sign that the role of working professions, including laborers, is of great importance in society. At the same time, great importance will be attached to technical and vocational education in our country. Because the majority of working professions improve their qualifications in such educational institutions. Currently, 35 colleges operate in our region. In the future, we will continue to modernize outdated dormitories,” said WKO akim Nariman Toregaliev.
The dormitory has a library, assembly hall, gym, dining room, and laundry rooms.
Student Ali Nabiolla used to commute to the college in the district center from a village located a few kilometers away. He said that now he has settled in the dormitory and does not experience any problems.
“We are glad that a new dormitory has opened. All conditions have been created here. Now I want to get an education and contribute to the development of the country. We would like to thank the President for creating a great opportunity for young people to get an education,” said the young student.
