TURKESTAN: FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER CREATED IN KENTAU

In his Address to the people of Kazakhstan entitled "A Just Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, Public Optimism", Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said: "Supporting socially vulnerable citizens is a very important task. State support should be provided to those who really need it. In a word, any social assistance should be fair, transparent and effective,” he noted.
The creation of Family Support Centers in all regions of the country is included in the concept of “Family and Gender Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030” approved by the Presidential Decree. In this regard, the Family Support Center began its work in the city of Kentau.
Deputy Mayor of the city Aknur Baibolova appointed the head of the center, emphasized the importance of the center, and expressed confidence that the institution’s employees will support the social and personal development of all family members in difficult situations.
Arai Sauranbekova was appointed the head of the center. A total of 17 employees work in the institution. The new institution has a psychologist and social service room, a temporary dormitory for about 25 people, and is equipped with a service room. All of these service rooms are fully equipped with the necessary equipment.
It should be noted that, in order to support the institution of the family, the center provides psychological, legal and social counseling to families facing difficult life situations and experiencing domestic violence, in situations where mental discomfort and interpersonal conflict contribute to the aggravation of their difficult life situation. Provides socio-legal, socio-psychological, socio-pedagogical, socio-economic, socio-labor, information and consulting services in 6 areas.
